EU Ambassador Praises Ukrainian Special Services Operation in Russia

EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova, commenting on Ukrainian strikes on Russian air bases with strategic aviation, acknowledged that Ukraine has its ‘cards.’
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Maternova's post on Facebook.
She noted that yesterday's successful Ukrainian strike deep inside Russia's rear caused admiration around the world.
Mathernova emphasised that it was from the attacked air bases that Russian strategic bombers took off to strike civilian targets, children and hospitals.
‘That is why it is important to recognise that no, Russia does not hold all the cards, Ukraine has its own cards. It has a strong defence industry, capable of innovation and has the potential to carry out such operations,’ the diplomat concluded.
Recall that US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine ‘has no trump cards’ and that Russia ‘holds all the cards,’ hinting at Russia's superiority in the war. His statements were often criticised for downplaying Ukraine's capabilities and being overly lenient towards Russia.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, commenting on the attack on Russian military airfields, which destroyed and damaged strategic bombers, said that Ukraine is successfully defending itself.
And Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said after the attack that it is in Europe's interest to have a strong and well-armed Ukraine as an ally.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Ukraine's Security Service has successfully carried out a high-impact special operation deep within Russian territory, striking at the heart of Russia's military-industrial infrastructure and severely damaging strategic aviation assets. The covert mission, code-named ‘Spiderweb,’ targeted multiple high-value military sites and has reportedly caused over $2 billion in losses to Russia's air force.
