European Commission and Council Presidents Visit to Ukraine for Support on 3rd Anniversary of Russia’s Full-Scale War

The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the President of the European Council Antonio Costa arrived in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on the morning of 24 February to express Europe's support to Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion.
‘On the third anniversary of Russia's brutal invasion, Europe is in Kyiv. We are here today because Ukraine is Europe. In this struggle for survival, not only the fate of Ukraine is being decided. It is also the fate of Europe,’ Ursula von der Leyen wrote in X.
‘In Ukraine, about Ukraine, with Ukraine,’ said António Costa.
The day before, on Sunday, 23 February, the flag of Ukraine was raised in front of the European Commission in Brussels (Belgium) in solidarity with the 3rd anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
On 24 February 2022, 3 years ago, Russia launched a large-scale military invasion of Ukraine. The enemy occupation army broke through the state border of Ukraine in several directions, attacked peaceful cities across the country with missiles and carried out missile and bomb attacks on airfields in Boryspil, Ozerne, Kulbakyne, Chuhuiv, Kramatorsk, Chornobaivka, as well as on military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the aggressor began artillery shelling of Ukraine's territory and settlements along the state border.
