Four Killed in Ukrainian City of Sumy After Another Russian Terrorist Strike
On the night of 30 January, at least four people were killed in a Russian strike on a residential building in Sumy, with bodies recovered from the rubble, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the State Emergency Service reported on social media.
As a result of the Russian Shahed hitting a multi-storey residential building in Sumy, 4 people were killed and 9 sustained injuries of varying severity, including 1 child.
Rescuers freed the bodies of two people (a man and a woman) from the rubble.
Five victims, including a child, were hospitalised, three of them in serious condition.
The attack destroyed 5 apartments on four floors and 12 balconies. More than 80 windows and balconies were smashed.
More than 20 cars were also damaged.
According to the BBC, the drone crashed into a 10-storey building on Heroes of Kruty Street.
It should be noted that on 29 January, Ukraine celebrated the 107th anniversary of the Heroes of Kruty, a battle of a detachment of young Ukrainian cadets against a group of thousands of Bolshevik Russian troops.
