French Film Legend Alain Delon Placed Under 'Judicial Protection' After Medical Examination
Following a medical examination requested by the Montargis prosecutor's office, Alain Delon has been placed under "judicial protection". Now, a trustee will be responsible for helping him make important decisions related to his finances and health, TF1 reports.
According to the information, the judge of protection, formerly known as a guardianship judge, decided to place the sacred legend of French cinema under judicial protection.
"Judicial protection is a temporary measure that allows for emergency action when an adult risks acting against his or her interests, in particular with regard to his or her property, due to a change in his or her mental or physical capacity," the French Ministry of Justice said on its website.
Currently, 88-year-old Alain Delon will still be able to perform many independent actions, except for the most important ones, such as selling real estate, entrusted to a neutral and impartial agent. The agent's mission will also be to help the star with his medical care and choice of doctors. The decision was communicated to his family this Monday morning.
For several weeks, Alain Delon's children have been publicly arguing about his health. His daughter Anoushka, 33, accuses her brothers Anthony, 59, and Alain-Fabien, 29, of interrupting the treatment prescribed by their father's Swiss doctors last summer.
As The Gaze wrote, in early January, the famous French actor Alain Delon was going to file a lawsuit against his son Anthony because he was deeply shocked by the wave of media coverage he had organised. According to his lawyer, Me Christophe Ayela, the actor condemns the comments aimed at harming him and his daughter Anouchka. The ongoing conflict in the Delaunay family has had a negative impact on the health of the French film legend.
The dispute arose in an interview where Anthony Delon stated that his father was weakened and could no longer stand to see himself humiliated. Anthony also claims to have filed a complaint against his sister Anoushka, accusing her of failing to inform him of their father's failed cognitive tests between 2019 and 2022.
