German Firm to Supply Radars to Ukraine

German company Hensoldt has received an order worth over €340 million to supply radars to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Deutsche Welle, citing company HENSOLDT.
Ukraine will be supplied with high-performance TRML-4D radars and SPEXER 2000 3D MkIII short-range radars.
“Our high-performance radars are urgently needed by Ukrainian air defence,” said HENSOLDT CEO Oliver Dörre.
He also emphasized that a certain number of radars are already protecting Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
"The radars are extremely important for protecting citizens,” Dörre added.
TRML-4D utilizes advanced AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar technology, enabling it to quickly detect and track approximately 1,500 targets within a range of 250 km. The system effectively and reliably identifies, tracks, and classifies all types of airborne objects, including cruise missiles, drones, aircraft, and helicopters.
It is indicated that SPEXER radars are part of the new Skyranger 30 air defense gun system from the German company Rheinmetall. They are used for automatic detection and classification of ground, sea, and low-altitude targets.
The Gaze previously reported that the Defense Minister of Germany Boris Pistorius called on the United States to give firm guarantees, ensuring any Patriot air defense systems supplied to Ukraine will be promptly replenished.
