Israel Declares UN Secretary-General Persona Non Grata for Supporting Terrorists
Israel has declared UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres persona non grata and banned him from entering the country because Guterres did not condemn Iran's attack on Israel.
This was reported by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz on the X network.
‘I have declared UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres persona non grata in Israel and banned him from entering the country,’ Katz wrote.
He noted that ‘Iran's heinous attack on Israel’ has been condemned by almost all countries in the world, and that anyone who cannot do so ‘does not deserve to set foot on Israeli soil.’
‘A secretary-general who supports terrorists, rapists and murderers from Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, and now Iran, the mother of world terror, will remain a stain on the history of the UN,’ the minister added.
As The Gaze previously reported, on 1 October, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel, firing about 180 ballistic missiles.
The EU strongly condemned the attack.
