Latvia Transfers Another 500 Drones to Ukraine as Part of the Drone Coalition
The Latvian government is handing over another 500 drones to Ukraine.
This was reported by the Minister of Defence of Latvia Andris Sprūds on platform X.
The drones are being handed over to Ukraine as part of the Drone Coalition.
"Another package of drones is ready! Around 500 Latvian-made drones will support Ukrainians in various combat missions," Sprūds wrote.
As The Gaze previously reported, in June, the Latvian government handed over the first batch of unmanned aerial vehicles purchased as part of the Drone Coalition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Prior to that, Latvia and Germany agreed to jointly purchase drones to support Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Latvia would work with Ukraine to increase the production of drones within the Drone Coalition.
