Latvia Sends Drones, Repair Facilities and Vehicles to Ukraine

Latvia has delivered a significant new package of military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine on the occasion of Defenders of Ukraine Day.
The Gaze reports this, referring to a statement made by the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia.
The assistance includes FPV drones, a mobile drone repair workshop, off-road vehicles, and humanitarian supplies, provided through a broad coalition of Latvian charities, media initiatives, and state partners.
The charity Ziedot.lv, together with Latvian media, organized the purchase and handover of an initial batch of FPV drones and a ground station, with a second shipment already on order.
The organization also allocated additional funds for prosthetics and medicines for wounded Ukrainian soldiers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in Latvia. Since October 1, Ziedot.lv has also been covering transportation needs for these servicemen.
Separately, the group SOS palīdzība Ukrainas armijai transferred a mobile drone repair facility that will allow Ukrainian forces to restore and service unmanned aerial systems directly near the front lines.
The equipment is designated for the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. Representatives of the Latvian National Guard (Zemessardze) contributed dry rations as part of the aid.
Meanwhile, the Stopify initiative dispatched assistance for 12 Ukrainian units. The delivery included Toyota Land Cruiser and Ford Ranger vehicles, drones, laptops, generators, charging stations, Webasto heaters for dugouts, and monitors for setting up military command posts.
The Ukrainian Embassy in Riga expressed deep gratitude to Latvian partners for their ongoing solidarity: “We express sincere gratitude to Latvian partners for their constant assistance and support of Ukrainian defenders. Your solidarity and dedication to common values are the key to our shared victory!”
As The Gaze reported earlier, Latvia is also allocating €5 million to support Ukraine as part of the new NATO-US PURL initiative, aimed at rapidly supplying American weapons to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
