Latvia to Deliver New Batch of Military Aid and 65 Vehicles to Ukraine

Latvia will send a new shipment of military aid and 65 donated vehicles to Ukraine on November 3.
The Gaze reports this, referring to Delfi.
The vehicles, provided by the Latvian energy companies Latvenergo and Sadales tīkls in cooperation with the charity foundation Ziedot.lv, will be personally driven to Ukraine by volunteer employees of both companies.
The convoy will depart from Riga on Monday morning, carrying additional humanitarian and technical supplies for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to Ziedot.lv Director Ruta Dimanta, the initiative demonstrates Latvia’s “unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and the courage of those who defend Europe’s freedom.”
Representatives from both companies, including Arnis Kurģis, Administrative Director of Latvenergo, and Raimonds Skrebs, Technical Director of Sadales tīkls, will attend the send-off ceremony alongside Yurii Zakharchuk, Counselor at the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia.
This latest donation adds to Latvenergo’s ongoing contribution of 158 vehicles since 2022, significantly improving frontline mobility for Ukrainian troops – from transporting units to delivering critical equipment and supplies.
“Each vehicle and each shipment strengthens Ukraine’s capacity to defend its sovereignty and the shared values of the free world,” the Latvian partners said in a joint statement.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Latvian state institutions, businesses, and citizens have remained among the most active contributors to Ukraine’s defense and humanitarian needs.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Latvia is also allocating €5 million to support Ukraine as part of the new NATO-US PURL initiative, aimed at rapidly supplying American weapons to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
