Lithuania Allocates €10 Million for Long-Range Weapons for Ukrainian Army

The Lithuanian Ministry of Defence has allocated 10 million euros for the production of modern Ukrainian long-range weapons.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to a Facebook post by Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov.
He explained that this is the first tranche under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Kyiv and Vilnius in December 2024, and noted that these weapons ‘are already working effectively at the frontline’.
‘Together with our Lithuanian partners, we are working on the next stage - another €10 million of assistance, which will allow us to expand production and strengthen our long-range capabilities even further,’ the minister said.
Umerov stressed that this is a strategic investment by Lithuania ‘in the strength and independence of Ukraine and the security of the whole of Europe’.
Following the 27th meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence in the Ramstein format, Lithuania announced that it plans to allocate another €20 million for the purchase of ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As The Gaze reported earlier, at a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence (Ramstein format) on April 11, Lithuania pledged to allocate 30 million euros for various forms of military assistance to Kyiv.
