Lithuania Pledges €30 Million to Ukraine for Military Needs

At a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense (Ramstein format) on April 11, Lithuania pledged to allocate 30 million euros for various forms of military assistance to Kyiv.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to a post by Lithuanian Defense Minister Dovile Šakalienė on social network X.
According to Šakalienė, 20 million euros of the Lithuanian contribution will go to the Czech Republic's initiative to purchase artillery shells for Ukraine, in addition to the 13 million already allocated.
Another 7 million euros will be provided by Lithuania to protect Ukraine from drones, including anti-drone rifles and short-range electronic warfare equipment.
The rest of the funds will be implemented through the Lithuanian-led demining coalition, which has pledged to train and equip 7 Ukrainian battalions by 2025.
In total, according to the head of the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, the country has already pledged to provide Ukraine with €110 million in military assistance in 2025, and this number should increase to at least €200 million.
In total, during a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in Brussels on April 11, member states promised to increase military aid to Ukraine by a total of €21 billion.
Within the framework of the Brussels Ramstein, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius also announced another military aid package for Ukraine, which will include four IRIS-T air defense systems.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Lithuania will provide an additional €20 million in military aid to Ukraine. The support is aimed specifically at ammunition, as concerns grow over a potentially challenging summer on the battlefield.
