Macron Believes Trump Realised Putin Was Lying

French President Emmanuel Macron is confident that US President Donald Trump has realised that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is lying.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to BFMTV.
During his tour of Southeast Asia, Macron called for "preserving the rules-based order" in a global context of "serious imbalances". He appealed to countries such as Vietnam and Indonesia, which have traditionally bought arms from Moscow but are now looking for alternative suppliers.
Macron emphasised that Russia, "by waging war in Ukraine with the support of North Korean soldiers, is destabilising Asia," not just Europe.
He also believes that Trump has "realised" that Putin has "deceived him".
"I believe that President Trump has realised that when President Putin told him that he was ready for peace, he was lying," the French leader stressed and called for "the longest possible ceasefire".
He emphasised: "What is happening in Ukraine is unacceptable and extremely serious."
"You cannot declare your readiness to negotiate and bomb at the same time. Such double rhetoric demonstrates the insincerity of any statements about dialogue," Macron added.
On 25 May, Trump, condemning Russia's latest shelling of Ukraine, said he was considering additional sanctions against Russia.
As The Gaze reported earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump recently conveyed to European leaders that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not seeking peace as he believes Russia is ‘winning’ the war.
