NATO–Ukraine Centre Takes Part in Alliance’s Biggest Command Exercise
The NATO–Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre (JATEC) has taken part in Steadfast Duel 2025, the Alliance’s largest computer-simulated command-and-control exercise of the year, which gathered representatives from all 32 NATO member states.
The Gaze reports this, referring the NATO Representation to Ukraine.
The drills were designed to test interoperability and joint operational readiness across all domains of defense – land, air, maritime, cyber, and space. The exercise served as a major test of the Alliance’s ability to respond collectively to multi-domain threats.
“JATEC’s participation in STEADFAST DUEL 2025 demonstrates the growing partnership between NATO and Ukraine, as JATEC – NATO’s first joint civil-military organization with Ukraine – plays an important role in strengthening collective security and interoperability,” the statement reads.
Earlier in October, JATEC and NATO’s Allied Command Transformation launched a new testing phase for an innovative countermeasure against guided aerial bombs – one of the most destructive weapons in Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the system, developed jointly with Ukrainian experts, has progressed from concept to working prototypes and aims to protect both military personnel and civilians.
By integrating Ukrainian expertise and battlefield experience into NATO training environments, JATEC continues to bridge operational practices and enhance readiness for shared defense challenges across the Euro-Atlantic community.
As The Gaze previously reported, on September 30, joint military exercises aimed at strengthening Europe’s defenses against aerial threats began in Denmark, with Ukrainian troops sharing frontline experience in countering drones.
