Netherlands to Deploy F-35s to Poland to Protect Ukraine Aid Routes

In autumn, the Netherlands will send its F-35 fighter jets to patrol Polish airspace, in particular to protect supply routes to Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to a post on social media by Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans.
The Dutch F-35s will thus join Norway, which previously announced the deployment of its fighter jets in Poland.
‘Starting in September, Dutch F-35 fighter jets will patrol NATO airspace in Poland alongside Norway. This will allow us to keep Russia at bay and protect supply routes to Ukraine,’ Blokland wrote.
From December 2024, Norwegian NASAMS will be deployed to cover the airport in Rzeszów, Poland.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Norway would also deploy F-35 fighter jets in Rzeszów this autumn to support the mission to protect Polish airspace and a key logistics centre for providing aid to Ukraine.
