Zelenskyy Invites Estonian President to Visit Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has invited Estonian President Alar Karis to visit Ukraine in a powerful gesture of solidarity, he announced in a Telegram post following their recent conversation, The Gaze reports.
During the call, Zelenskyy thanked Estonia for its steadfast support on multiple fronts — including military aid, a pledge to allocate 0.25% of GDP annually for Ukraine’s defense needs, and leadership in the IT coalition.
He also praised Estonia’s contributions to the training and rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers.
The conversation took place as Ukraine commemorated the victims tortured, executed, or killed in Russian captivity. Zelenskyy expressed deep gratitude for Estonia’s empathy and public words of support on this solemn day.
The two leaders also discussed scaling up defense cooperation and strengthening Ukraine’s anti-corruption system.
Zelenskyy highlighted that his new draft law, recently submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, ensures the independence and effectiveness of anti-corruption institutions.
He thanked Estonia for supporting Ukraine’s reforms and commitment to transparent governance.
“I invited Alar Karis to visit Ukraine. It would be a powerful sign of support and solidarity with our people,” Zelenskyy said.
