Norwegian F-35s to Protect Key Ukraine Aid Hub in Poland

Norway will deploy F-35 fighter jets in Poland this autumn, increasing its contribution to NATO's air and missile defence.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.
The Norwegian F-35s will be deployed in Poland to support the mission to protect Polish airspace and a key logistics centre for providing aid to Ukraine in Rzeszów.
‘This is an extremely important contribution. We are helping to ensure that aid to Ukraine reaches its destination and that Ukraine can continue its fight for freedom,’ said Norwegian Defence Minister Tore E. Sandvik.
Since December 2024, Norwegian NASAMS have been deployed to cover the airport in Rzeszów, Poland.
At the end of April, Norway received all 52 F-35 fighter jets ordered from the United States.
As The Gaze reported earlier, in a major show of support for Ukraine, Norway has announced that it will help develop and produce uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) directly on Ukrainian soil using advanced Norwegian technology.
