New Dutch Support: €200 Million for Ukraine’s Air Defense and Joint Production Projects

The Netherlands has announced a new €200 million military aid package for Ukraine, aimed at strengthening countermeasures against Russian drones and developing defense cooperation between the two countries.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Ukrinform.
During his visit to Kyiv, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said that the new aid package includes funding for systems to combat drones that regularly attack Ukrainian territory.
He stressed that the recent massive air strikes have once again proven the critical need for these weapons for the Ukrainian army.
“Last night, there was another major air attack, which once again proved how much Ukraine needs them, along with ammunition,” the Minister said.
In addition to financial assistance, a memorandum of cooperation was signed within the Build with Ukraine initiative, which opens up opportunities for the creation of joint Ukrainian-Dutch defense enterprises.
Such cooperation will allow both sides to strengthen their production capacity and develop technological capabilities in the defense sector.
Another important step was the creation of a Dutch defense cluster in Kyiv, which will bring together companies interested in investing and developing innovations in Ukraine.
According to Brekelmans, this decision will allow for more effective coordination of the work of enterprises, accelerate the implementation of joint projects, and make defense cooperation more systematic and effective.
“We have many companies that want to invest and develop their technologies and potential here, so this will optimize their activities and coordination,” said the Dutch Minister of Defense.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of unmanned technologies.
Following the talks, the defense ministers of the two countries signed a document providing for the launch of joint projects in the field of drone production.
