Norway Joins Drone Coalition for Ukraine

Norway has officially joined the Drone Coalition for Ukraine, led by the United Kingdom and Latvia.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to a post by the Norwegian Ministry of Defense on social network X.
The relevant document was signed on April 11 in Brussels by Norwegian Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik.
“Norway is now officially part of the international Drone Coalition led by Latvia and the UK. Together we are building a strong alliance in support of Ukraine,” the statement reads.
The Drone Coalition was formed in February 2024 during the 19th Ramstein meeting. The idea was proposed by Latvia. Together with the United Kingdom, they coordinate the initiative.
The coalition now includes 18 countries: Latvia, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Estonia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Germany, Sweden, and Ukraine.
As The Gaze reported earlier, in March, the partner countries of the Drone Coalition decided to allocate 20 million euros from a common fund to purchase tactical-level reconnaissance UAVs for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
