Oscar-Winning Film "20 Days in Mariupol" to be Released on Netflix
Mstislav Chernov's film 20 Days in Mariupol, which won this year's Oscar for Best Documentary Feature, will be released on the streaming platform Netflix on 21 April. The film tells the story of the real crimes committed by the Russian occupiers in Mariupol, Donetsk region. This was reported on Netflix Ukraine's Instagram page.

Netflix subscribers are calling for the film to be made available in other countries to tell the world the truth.
The film is also available on Amazon, AppleTV, Google Play Movies, Vudu and Microsoft.
On 14 March, the film 20 Days in Mariupol was released in Ukrainian cinemas.
20 Days in Mariupol is a documentary by Ukrainian filmmaker Mstislav Chernov, a war correspondent who stayed in the besieged city of Mariupol in March 2022 together with his colleague, photographer Yevhen Malolitka.
The film was first screened in Ukrainian cinemas in August and September 2023. The film tells the story of the events in Mariupol in February and March 2022. It includes footage of Russian shelling and the bombing of a maternity hospital. The film became the highest-grossing documentary in the Ukrainian box office.
In January 2023, the film won the Audience Award at the Sundance Independent Film Festival in the United States. In April, the film won the Standing Up Award at the 47th Cleveland International Film Festival in Ohio, USA. The film also won the Cinema for Peace Award (Berlin, Germany) in the Best Documentary category, and was awarded two Royal Television Society 2023 Journalism Awards (UK) in the International News Coverage and Exclusive of the Year categories. The film's author was recognised as the Cameraman of the Year.
On 18 February 2024, the film won the British BAFTA Award for Best Documentary. On 11 March, the film won an Oscar in the same category.
