Over 50 Injured, 14 Killed in Massive Overnight Russian Air Assault on Kyiv

A deadly wave of Russian aerial attacks struck Ukraine’s capital overnight, leaving at least 14 people dead and 55 wounded.
The Gaze reports on this, referring to a statement made by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
The coordinated strike, one of the most intense against Kyiv in recent months, targeted 27 locations across the city, including residential areas, schools, and critical infrastructure.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the updated casualty figures early Tuesday morning, stating that more than 40 of the injured have been hospitalized.
“The number of wounded is rising as rescue operations continue,” Klitschko said. “Emergency crews are working under extreme conditions to search for survivors and recover the dead.”
One of the most tragic scenes unfolded in the Solomianskyi district, where a multi-story residential building suffered a partial collapse due to a direct hit.
First responders continue to pull victims from the rubble. Authorities believe at least 14 people were killed at that location alone, though the final toll may rise.
In other districts, including Darnytskyi and Sviatoshynskyi, explosions caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure.
The Kyiv City Military Administration, led by Tymur Tkachenko, has deployed additional emergency teams and set up humanitarian assistance centers.
Tkachenko warned residents not to ignore air raid alerts, stressing the risk of follow-up strikes. “The enemy has already demonstrated that it can strike again, and without warning. Please take shelter when alarms sound,” he said.
While Kyiv bore the brunt of the overnight bombardment, other regions were also affected. In Odesa region, ten people were reported injured and one was killed. Additional casualties were recorded in Kyiv and Chernihiv region.
