Russian Army Attacks Nine Ukrainian Regions, Resulting in Civilian Casualties
Over the past day, the Russian occupying army launched attacks on nine regions of Ukraine, resulting in civilian casualties. In this recent escalation, the Russian forces employed Iskander-M ballistic missiles, armed UAVs known as 'Shahed,' guided aviation and anti-aircraft missiles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In Chernihiv region, there were 10 shelling incidents within one day. The Russian forces shelled Chernihiv, Koryukivka, and Novhorod-Siverskyi districts using artillery, mortars, and anti-aircraft guns. The dropping of drone-dropped munitions in the Semenivka community of Novhorod-Siverskyi district was recorded.
In Sumy region, a Shahed-type UAV targeted a critical infrastructure facility in the regional centre overnight, and further details regarding the aftermath are pending.
The previous day saw 17 attacks by Russian forces on border areas and settlements in Sumy region, with 89 explosions documented. These attacks affected the communities of Bilopillia, Khotin, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, and Shalyhyne.
In Zaporizhzhia region, the occupiers conducted 123 strikes on 21 populated areas, causing significant damage.
The localities in the vicinity of the front line, including Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Robotyne, Levadne, Preobrazhenka, Malynivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Pyatykhatky, Kamianske, Prymorsk, Novoiakivka, and others, witnessed 107 artillery bombardments by the Russian army.
Furthermore, the Russian forces launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia and conducted 11 UAV attacks on Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Novodarivka, Charivne, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Zatyshshia. Additionally, they used an air-to-ground missile to hit Novodarivka.
There have been 92 reports of residential buildings, warehouses, and infrastructure being destroyed, fortunately without casualties.
In Dnipropetrovsk region, the aggressor fired nearly three dozen artillery shells overnight.
Yesterday morning, a Russian missile struck a private sector in Obukhivka of Dniprovsky district, resulting in the tragic death of a 31-year-old woman. Four individuals sustained injuries, with three of them in moderate condition.
In Donetsk region, the Russian forces subjected eight inhabited localities to shelling over the past day, including Avdiivka, Ukrainsk, urban-type settlements Kurdiumivka and Neliubivka, and villages Dovha Balka, Predtechyne, Torske, and Yuriivka.
The attacks caused damage to 33 residential buildings, including 8 apartment buildings, as well as a kindergarten building, a music school building, the administrative building of the "Ukraine" mine, a cargo vehicle, a service vehicle, two civilian cars, a motorcycle, two power transmission lines, a transformer, two utility structures, and a food storage facility. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
In Mykolaiv region, an enemy rocket struck a food service facility in the Stepyvska community, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuries to another person. The strike also caused damage to residential buildings, an agricultural enterprise, and other civilian infrastructure.
Across Kherson region, the aggressors carried out 105 shelling attacks, including nine on the city of Kherson. Russian forces targeted 30 inhabited localities, as well as the territory of a plant and a park in Kherson.
A 69-year-old woman injured due to enemy shelling in Blahovishchenske village passed away in the hospital.
Zolota Balka experienced another enemy shelling, with artillery fire hitting the village. Twelve direct hits were recorded, and a 78-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized. Private houses were also damaged.
A rocket attack struck the Ostriv neighborhood of Kherson, leading to the injury of two men aged 65 and 54, who were hospitalized with blast injuries. Another strike hit Olihivka, where a local resident aged 47 sustained injuries.
Over the past day, two individuals lost their lives in Kherson region, and four others were wounded.
In Luhansk region, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled over ten enemy attacks near Nadia. Russian forces once again advanced near Makiivka, where they had previously halted for several days. Over the course of yesterday, five assaults took place.
Ukrainian troops continue to defend Ukraine's eastern and southern regions, alongside offensive operations in the Melitopol and Bakhmut sectors.
