Slovak PM Fico, Who Recently Survived Assassination Attempt, Receives Envelope With Bullet
Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico has received an envelope containing a bullet on 25 September.
This was reported by aktuality.sk.
This information was confirmed by the press service of the Slovak government. They noted that the envelope was delivered to the Prime Minister in the morning.
‘We can confirm that the envelope with the bullet addressed to the Prime Minister of Slovakia was delivered to the government office today,’ the press service of the Slovak government said.
According to the newspaper, the envelope is currently being checked by the staff of the Department for the Protection of Officials and Diplomatic Missions of Slovakia.
As The Gaze previously reported, on 15 May, an attempt was made on the life of Prime Minister Robert Fico after a government meeting in the city of Handlova. At first, after the incident, there were doubts whether the wounded prime minister would survive.
The attacker was 71-year-old Juraj Cintula. During the interrogation, he claimed that he did not want to kill Fico, but only to ‘harm his health’ so that he could not continue to pursue policies with which Cintula disagreed, including the issue of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
