Starmer Gathers World Leaders to Discuss Sending Peacekeepers to Ukraine

On 15 March, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will hold a virtual meeting of world leaders to discuss sending a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine. Reuters reports this with reference to the British Prime Minister's spokesperson.
It is noted that this meeting will be a continuation of the summit in London, which took place this month, where the British leader announced the creation of a ‘coalition of the willing’.
‘You can expect the Prime Minister to hold a second meeting of the leaders of the ‘coalition of the willing’, which will be a continuation of his summit at Lancaster House,’ said a spokesman for the British Prime Minister.
At the same time, Bloomberg reports that the meeting will be attended by the leaders of NATO countries that are ready to provide their military forces to the ‘coalition of the willing’. However, the specific list of countries is not disclosed.
As The Gaze reported, in February, Starmer said that the UK was ready and willing to deploy its troops to Ukraine as a guarantee of security, if necessary.
After the summit in London, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he and Starmer had an idea for an initial ‘partial’ cessation of hostilities between Russia and Ukraine - in the sky, at sea, and in attacks on energy infrastructure.
Starmer also confirmed plans for a ‘coalition of the willing’ to ensure the implementation of any peace agreement on Ukraine, with London playing a key role.
