Storm Shadow Missiles Used for First Official Attack on Russian Soil by Ukraine

Ukraine has announced for the first time that it used British Storm Shadow cruise missiles to strike a Russian powder factory.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Business Insider.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive combined missile and air strike on the Bryansk Chemical Plant, which produces gunpowder, explosives, and rocket fuel components.
The strike involved air-based Storm Shadow missiles, subsonic cruise missiles jointly produced by the UK and France, capable of carrying a 1,000-pound explosive payload and traveling up to 240 km, flying low to avoid detection.
This was the first official use of these missiles against Russian industrial facilities, signalling clearer support for Kyiv from the UK, especially against the backdrop of unstable US assistance.
The Ukrainian strikes are part of a broader strategy to limit Russia's ability to wage war by undermining its industrial capacity, including attacks on energy and oil facilities.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to strike strategic targets of the military-industrial complex on the territory of the Russian Federation, weakening the offensive capabilities of the aggressor country,” reads the statement of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) on Telegram.
