During her visit to Switzerland, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced support for twelve projects by Swiss companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine with a budget of over 112 million Swiss francs.

The Gaze reports on it, referring to the Swiss government.

The Government of Switzerland declared its commitment to fund twelve projects by Swiss companies for the reconstruction of Ukraine with a budget of over 112 million Swiss francs, of which 93 million will be provided by Switzerland itself and the rest by companies and Ukrainian partners.

The projects cover infrastructure, public transport, healthcare, and humanitarian demining, allowing the Swiss private sector to apply its experience and innovative solutions to the country's recovery.

The decision to support the Swiss private sector was made on June 26, 2024, after which companies were invited to participate in a project competition. The main conditions for participation were compliance with Ukraine's needs and the existence of a legal entity in Ukraine.

The competition attracted a lot of interest – around 60 Swiss companies submitted almost 80 proposals, from which SECO and the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture selected the twelve best projects.

During talks in Bern, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko met with State Secretary Ellen Budliger, Federal Council delegate for Ukraine Jacques Gerber, and Swiss business associations to discuss the prospects and opportunities for Swiss private sector participation in Ukraine's reconstruction, emphasizing the importance of joint work and an innovative approach to project implementation.

Twelve selected projects by Swiss companies cover a wide range of areas of Ukraine's reconstruction, including infrastructure, housing construction, energy, healthcare, and humanitarian demining.

Initiatives include the production and installation of railway fastenings and overhead lines, the construction of modular houses for internally displaced persons, the reconstruction of energy networks, the installation of solar systems and water pumping stations, the replacement of damaged windows, the refurbishment of sanitary facilities, and more.

The projects also include training for employees and students, job creation, and local production, which contributes to the development of the Ukrainian economy and the improvement of professional qualifications.
