For its part, Suspilne has received information from an informed source that the talks may take place on Tuesday or Wednesday, and that everything depends on the implementation of the agreements of the previous round.
The Russian agency TASS indicates that a new round of talks in Istanbul is possible at the end of the week.
Over the weekend, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov had proposed to the Russian side to hold the next meeting this week.
The last round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Istanbul took place on 2 June. At that meeting, Russia handed Ukraine its memorandum with a set of pre-determined unacceptable ultimatums.
Despite this, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin said that Moscow was ready for the next meeting with the Ukrainian delegation.
