Three New Banksy Works Appear in London Over the Last Three Days: What Does It Mean?
Three new works by the famous British artist Banksy have appeared on the streets of London in the last three days. Since the main person concerned has not given any explanation of the meaning of his online art installations, theories are multiplying.
The day before, British street art star Banksy unveiled his third new animal-themed artwork in London. This time, he depicted a trio of monkeys swinging across the bridge of a railway station in East London.
The famous Bristol graffiti artist, whose identity is unknown, shared a photo of his new creation on Instagram.
Earlier, on Tuesday, the artist created graffiti depicting two silhouettes of elephants stretching their trunks towards each other on the wall of a house in Edith Terrace in Chelsea.
A day earlier, on Monday, he showed a work depicting a goat sitting on a wall near Kew Bridge in Richmond upon Thames. The painting depicts the silhouette of a goat on top of a ledge with stones falling under it, and a CCTV camera pointed at the animal.
The latest part of the collection appeared on Brick Lane on Wednesday near Grimsby Street, just off Shoreditch High Street.
Banksy confirmed that all three works were his in Instagram posts and left no comments on his social media posts, leading people to theorise about any potential symbolism, from the threat of extinction to a lack of privacy.
Earlier, the works of British underground artist Banksy appeared in Ukraine during the Russian war. In particular, on the wall of a destroyed house in Borodyanka in November 2022. Later, other graffiti was discovered and confirmed in Kyiv, Gostomel and Irpin.
The artist's works appear all over the world and are considered masterpieces of global scale, and some of them are sold at auctions for tens of millions of dollars.
