Biogradska Gora National Park

Biogradska Gora National Park is one of the most renowned reserves in Montenegro. It hosts one of the few remaining primeval forests in the world. Trees over 500 years old grow in this ancient forest. The unique ecosystem supports rare plant species and wildlife. According to local legends, the forest is also inhabited by mysterious mythical creatures that protect the ancient trees from humans and harm. The park also features a system of natural lakes, with the crystal-clear Biogradsko Lake being a favorite among visitors.

Lovćen National Park

Lovćen National Park is an excellent choice for those seeking the best views in Montenegro. Located atop Mount Lovćen, which stands at an altitude of 1749 meters, this place is perfect for active leisure enthusiasts. Here, you can go cycling, test your skills at a rope park, and indulge in Montenegrin cuisine. The park provides shelter for 1300 plant species, over 200 bird species, as well as insects and animals. It's particularly populated by deer, boars, and bears. Additionally, the microclimate offers a comfortable atmosphere, with temperatures generally about 10°C cooler than those along the coast.

Ostrog Monastery

Ostrog Monastery is one of the most revered spiritual centers not only in Montenegro but also across the Balkans. The sanctuary is named after Saint Basil of Ostrog, whose remains are still preserved within the monastery. Over a million visitors and pilgrims from around the world come here annually. The Monastery is located about 15 kilometers from the town of Danilovgrad, at an altitude of approximately 900 meters above sea level. Built directly into the rock face of Ostroška Greda mountain in the 17th century, it served as a defensive stronghold against the Ottoman Empire.

Perast

Perast is a tiny Montenegrin town, stretching for about 1.5 kilometers and inhabited by only 250 people, yet it holds unique monuments and legends. The town boasts 17 Baroque palaces and 19 churches, each with its own unique history. It was settled by Illyrian tribes long ago. During the height of the Venetian Republic, it was ruled by 12 clans of "Kazade," local fishermen, traders, and sailors, known for building grand residences and churches. This historic gem is located along the enchanting coastline of the Adriatic Sea, nestled between Mount St. Elijah and the Bay of Kotor.

Kotor is a city in Montenegro and the center of the natural and cultural-historical region of Kotor, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Within the old town, you'll find cozy streets, traditional restaurants, and artisan souvenir shops. A hike to Kotor Fortress is a thrilling adventure, providing an incredible view of the entire Bay of Kotor from its 280-meter-high perch. To reach the fortress, start your journey in the old town where you'll find the appropriate signs. The entrance gates are open for all from 8 AM to 8 PM.
