Trump Reveals Putin’s Threats After Major Ukrainian Blow to Russian Air Force

In a post on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump disclosed that he held a phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin that lasted approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, The Gaze reports.
According to Trump, the two leaders discussed recent developments in Russia’s war against Ukraine—including a significant Ukrainian strike on Russian airfields—as well as the growing threat posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
“I just finished speaking, by telephone, with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia (…) We discussed the attack on Russia’s docked airplanes, by Ukraine, and also various other attacks that have been taking place by both sides,” Trump wrote.
“President Putin did say, and very strongly, that he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields,” the US President added.
The conversation follows reports of a major Ukrainian intelligence operation deep inside Russian territory. The Security Service of Ukraine launched “Spiderweb,” a covert mission that severely damaged Russian strategic aviation assets and key military infrastructure. Estimates suggest the strike inflicted more than $2 billion in losses on the Russian air force.
While Trump emphasized that the call with Putin was “good,” he made it clear that peace remains elusive. “It was a good conversation, but not a conversation that will lead to immediate Peace,” he stated, hinting at ongoing volatility in the region.
Beyond Ukraine, the president said they discussed Iran’s nuclear program, warning of the need for swift action.
“We also discussed Iran, and the fact that time is running out on Iran’s decision pertaining to nuclear weapons, which must be made quickly! I stated to President Putin that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, and, on this, I believe that we were in agreement.”
