Kyiv and Washington in Advanced Talks on Major Drone Production Deal

Ukraine and the United States are in advanced negotiations over a landmark agreement that would see significant American investment in Ukrainian drone manufacturing.
The Gaze reports this, referring to Reuters.
Speaking to reporters in Kyiv alongside newly appointed cabinet members, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko said the agreement, informally referred to as a “drone deal,” would also involve the United States purchasing large quantities of Ukrainian-produced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
“We plan to sign a 'drone deal' with the United States. We are discussing investments in the expansion of production of Ukrainian drones by the U.S.," she stated. "That is, we are talking about the purchase of a large batch of Ukrainian drones."
According to the Ukrainian PM, the political green light for the deal came directly from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his U.S. counterpart, President Donald Trump.
Talks are currently underway to iron out the technical and legal framework of the arrangement.
Earlier this month, Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine had signed preliminary agreements with several U.S. companies to co-produce drones, including interceptor UAVs.
As The Gaze previously reported, the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump, are discussing an agreement that would involve the purchase of American weapons in exchange for the sale of Ukrainian drones.
