Trump Told Putin He Must Stop His War Against Ukraine

US President Donald Trump told Russian President Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation that he must stop the war against Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Trump's post on the social network Truth Social.
According to the American president, during the conversation, Putin told him that the war between Israel and Iran must end. “To which I replied that his war must also end,” Trump said of his response.
The American president noted that Putin “very kindly” congratulated him on his birthday the day before and discussed Iran with him — “a country he knows very well.”
“Much less time was devoted to Russia and Ukraine, but that will be next week. He is carrying out a planned exchange of prisoners — a large number of prisoners from both sides are being exchanged immediately,” he added.
The Russian side was the first to report on the conversation between the US and Russian leaders, emphasizing its friendly nature.
According to Russian media reports, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said that Putin had a conversation with US President Donald Trump.
According to him, during the conversation, Putin informed Trump about the implementation of the Istanbul agreements with Ukraine, reached in Turkey on June 2, and promised that Russia was ready to continue negotiations with the Ukrainian side.
Ushakov said that the conversation lasted 50 minutes.
According to the aide, Trump and Putin also discussed the situation in the Middle East. The American president assessed it as very alarming. The interlocutors did not rule out a return to the negotiating track on the Iranian nuclear program.
Ushakov also said that during the conversation, Putin and Trump noted “the brotherhood of the two countries in arms during World War II, and also expressed satisfaction with the established relations, which allow for the resolution of pressing issues.”
At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with Newsmax TV, described the talks between the US and Russia as a “very warm conversation,” stressing that Putin would ultimately deceive Donald Trump.
