Ukraine Hosts New Production of Polish Recon Drones FlyEye

Polish manufacturer of reconnaissance drones FlyEye is expanding production in Ukraine to meet growing demand for its systems.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Militarnyi, citing a press release from WB Group.
In early 2025, the company launched full-scale production at one of its Ukrainian plants, which previously serviced Polish drones for the Ukrainian military.
Due to security concerns, information about the launch of production was kept secret until the recent visit of the head of the Polish diplomatic mission, Piotr Lukasiewicz, to the plant.
FlyEye, developed by the Polish company Flytronic in 2010, became one of the first Polish reconnaissance drones in service with Ukraine in 2015 and was actively used during the war in Donbas and then during Russia's full-scale invasion.
Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are one of the largest users of these drones, which compete with products from leading Ukrainian manufacturers.
The 11 kg aircraft is easy to use and transport, takes about 11 minutes to prepare for flight, and is launched manually. The drone can remain in the air for two to three hours at a distance of up to 50 km from the operator and is equipped with a GS4 optical station with a daytime and thermal imaging channel for identifying targets at a distance of 5–7 km.
It is reported that FlyEye is distinguished by its high level of automation: the autopilot performs most operations, including landing and route tracking.
Moreover, the third generation of drones has been equipped with an automatic escort function, which allows them to accompany friendly convoys and pursue targets for early threat detection.
The Gaze previously wrote that the Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has strongly defended Warsaw’s decision to fund Starlink satellite internet services for Ukraine, describing it as “one of the best investments we have made to support Ukraine and strengthen Poland’s influence.”
