Ukraine Initiates Emergency Meeting of UN Security Council

Ukraine is initiating the convening of an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in response to Russian attacks.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw, Ukrinform reports.
"Ukraine is initiating the convening of an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with the Russian strike on civilian infrastructure, including a children's hospital," Zelensky said.
He assured that Ukraine would restore everything destroyed by Russian terrorists today and would undoubtedly respond to "these non-humans from Russia".
"We must all work together to bring Russia to justice for terror and Putin for the orders to launch strikes," the President stressed.
According to him, Russia responds to all peaceful initiatives with strikes on houses and hospitals.
"That is why we can only force Russia to peace. Only together we can do it," the Head of State stressed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in turn, stated that Russia, which currently holds the presidency of the UN Security Council, is actually destabilising and destroying global security.
"It is cynical and unfair. In fact, the only thing Russia is doing to global security is to destabilise and destroy it," the Foreign Ministry said.
Earlier, the ministry released a video of sick children from a children's hospital hiding in shelters during another Russian strike on Kyiv. The Foreign Ministry stressed that Russia is committing genocide against Ukrainians.
In particular, 22 persons, including a doctor, were killed in the Okhmatdyt children's hospital as a result of a Russian missile attack, and about 70 people were injured.
