Ukraine, Lithuania Sign Memorandum of Cooperation in Defence Sector
Ukraine and Lithuania have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the defence sector.
This was reported by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda on the X network.
The memorandum was signed on 11 September as part of the Defence Industry Forum in Kyiv.
‘Employment in the defence industry is growing, and high technology and engineering help to develop modern solutions for the battlefield. Joint efforts will lead Ukraine to victory,’ Nauseda wrote.
The press service of the Lithuanian president clarified that the memorandum of understanding on defence cooperation between Lithuania and Ukraine was signed by the Lithuanian and Ukrainian confederations of industrialists.
In his speech at the forum, Nauseda stressed that Ukraine's victory is ‘our only choice, and we must do everything possible and impossible to ensure Ukraine's victory’.
According to Nauseda, achieving victory requires mobilising defence capabilities to ensure well-equipped troops on the front line, as well as developing new technologies, weapons, warfare methods and innovative approaches.
Nauseda also spoke at the Crimean Platform Summit, where he called for not getting used to Russia's systematic violations of human rights in occupied Crimea.
As The Gaze previously reported, Nauseda arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday morning.
