Ukraine Receives New Batch of F-16 Fighter Jets

The Air Force of Ukraine has received an additional batch of F-16 fighter jets, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a Zoom briefing for journalists.
He did not disclose the number of fighter jets that Ukraine has received, but stressed that this is good news.
‘Additional F-16s have arrived in Ukraine. The Russians are lying that they have shot down something, they have not shot down anything. The good news is that several F-16s have arrived in Ukraine,’ the Ukrainian president said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Disinformation Counteraction Centre reported that the information about the ‘downing’ of an F-16 aircraft over Ukrainian Sumy region was not true. This fake was spread on social media.
A coalition of fighter jets led by the United States, Denmark, and the Netherlands, formed in 2023, began providing F-16s to Ukraine last year. Ukraine received the first Dutch aircraft in October 2024, and the second batch was delivered in early February 2025.
