Ukraine Targets Two Russian Oil Refineries, Ammunition Depots and Logistics Hubs

Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed on Thursday that its forces struck two major Russian oil refineries along with ammunition depots and several logistics facilities used to support Moscow’s military operations.
The Gaze reports this, referring to a post by Ukraine’s General Staff.
Ukrainian Forces units carried out coordinated overnight attacks on August 28 targeting key Russian infrastructure.
According to the update, Ukraine’s drone forces and the Defence Intelligence Directorate (HUR) struck the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region, a plant with an annual processing capacity of 6.25 million tonnes of crude oil.
The refinery produces gasoline and diesel fuel that supply the Russian army. A large fire was reported at the site.
Ukrainian special operations forces and drone units also hit the Kuybyshev refinery in Russia’s Samara region, which produces more than 30 types of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel and fuel oil, with a processing capacity of 7 million tonnes per year. Explosions and fires were reported at the facility.
In addition, Ukrainian drone, special operations, and Security Service (SSU) units, acting in coordination with other branches of the Defense Forces, struck Russian ammunition depots and multiple logistics sites both inside Russia and in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
“The details of the damage and consequences of the strikes are being clarified,” the General Staff stated.
As The Gaze reported earlier, on August 24, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine struck the Ust-Luga marine terminal and a number of other Russian logistics facilities in order to reduce its military and economic potential.
