Ukraine: The European Frontier – Estonia’s University Launches English-Language Online Course About Ukraine
The University of Tartu in Estonia has launched an English-language online course on Ukraine, the Congress of Ukrainians in Estonia reported on 6 January, citing the author of the online course. The course content is in English and is available for free on the University of Tartu's educational platform.
The course covers Ukrainian history, identity, culture, society, politics, resistance in the war, European integration, digital transformation, and prospects for the future. It is designed for ‘anyone interested in Ukraine, especially globally educated citizens, who can engage with social science concepts and models’. However, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, students from Russia will not be accepted.
You can sign up for the course until 16 February, but the number of participants is limited to 500.
The course consists of 4 modules and 16 topics related to Ukrainian
history and identity,
culture,
society,
politics,
resistance in the war,
European integration,
digital transformation,
Ukraine's future prospects.
Each lecture will be delivered by an expert on a particular topic. Among the lecturers is Gert Antsu, Ambassador of Estonia to Ukraine.
