Ukrainian sound producer Igor Kyrylenko and Czech composer Tomáš Dvořák have collaborated to create a joint composition for the Ukrainian resistance movement in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine - the Yellow Ribbon.

The creators announced this on their social media pages.

Artists from Ukraine and the Czech Republic joined forces to remind people of the daily struggle of Ukrainians and draw attention to the courage of those who face persecution for their pro-Ukrainian stance but continue to live in Ukrainian territories temporarily under control of the Russian occupation forces.

In the video illustrating the musical track, the authors used images of the Yellow Ribbon underground movement participants. These individuals, risking their lives, paint the Ukrainian letter "Ї" on the walls of buildings, hang yellow ribbons on the streets of occupied cities, and distribute propaganda leaflets with Ukrainian symbols.

The Yellow Ribbon is a resistance movement in the occupied territories of Ukraine, created in April 2022. Its members face daily threats of persecution, torture, and even death for expressing their Ukrainian identity. The Yellow Ribbon operates in all areas of eastern and southern Ukraine occupied by Russia.

It is worth noting that the Russian occupation authorities regularly violate the rights of Ukrainians in temporarily occupied areas. In particular, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukrainian citizens of various ethnic backgrounds, including Crimean Tatars, who have not left, are under constant pressure from Russian security forces.

The Ministry of Ukraine for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories previously reported that over 9.5 years of occupation in the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, more than 5,000 cases of human rights violations have been documented.

Currently, at least 4,337 Ukrainian citizens are in Russian captivity, including 3,574 military personnel and 763 civilians.

The recent UN report presented new evidence of Russian atrocities in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This includes numerous cases of torture, intentional killings, sexual violence, as well as mass deportation of children.

Additionally, the commission documented the indiscriminate use of explosive weapons by Russian soldiers, resulting in the death and injury of civilians, as well as the destruction and damage of civilian objects.
