Ukrainian Drones Hit Oil Refinery Over 2,000 km Inside Russia

Ukrainian drones belonging to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (HUR) struck an oil refinery in Ukhta, more than 2,000 km (1,243 miles) from the Ukrainian border, hitting the Lukoil-Ukhta Oil Refinery.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Deutsche Welle, citing the HUR.
The Lukoil-Ukhta Oil Refinery, struck as a result of a special operation, supplies fuel and lubricants to the Russian army. According to Ukrainian intelligence, the drones damaged a tank containing petroleum products, causing a spill, as well as a gas and condensate processing plant for the production of propane-butane and gasoline.
Russian Telegram channels confirmed the drone attack on the oil refinery in Ukhta, reporting explosions, the evacuation of workers, and damage to oil tanks.
The authorities of the Komi Republic also confirmed the incident, assuring that there were no casualties, but due to security measures, mobile communications in the region were intermittent, and the Ukhta airport temporarily suspended operations.
It is not yet known whether the drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate flew all 2,000 km by air or were delivered closer to the target, as in Operation "Spiderweb" on June 1.
It should be recalled that in December 2024, the HUR stated that Ukrainian drones could strike targets up to 2,000 km deep into Russia.
The Gaze wrote earlier that the Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) conducted a covert operation, code-named “Spiderweb,” deep in Russia, severely damaging key military sites and causing over $2 billion in losses to Russia’s air force.
