Ukrainian Film Oxygen Station to Be Screened in Czechia

In May, the Czech city of Pilsen will host a screening of the biographical drama Oxygen Station by Ivan Tymchenko.

The film tells the biography of Mustafa Dzhemilev, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, when the greatest trials and threats to his life coincided in time, and at the same time, the sprouts of hope for fragile happiness in the conditions of total captivity.
‘Come and enjoy the powerful story, emotions and beauty of Ukrainian cinema,’ invites the organiser of the screening, the New Communications Club.
The film will be screened in Ukrainian with Czech subtitles on 14 May at 16:00, followed by a discussion.
The film Oxygen Station was created in co-production between Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Slovakia with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency and the Czech Státní fond kinematografie.
This feature-length poetic drama is based on biographical events in the life of the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev and tells the story of the summer of 1980, when he was in exile in Yakutia.
