Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Urges Partners to Increase Pressure on Russia, North Korea

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has called on the international community to increase sanctions pressure on Russia and North Korea after the recognition of the direct involvement of DPRK troops in the war against Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the official statement of the MFA.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Georgiy Tykhyi, this recognition is very significant, as the regimes in Moscow and Pyongyang had previously denied it.
‘This once again emphasises that both regimes - Putin and Kim Jong-un - cannot be trusted. Their words cannot be believed,’ he said.
The Foreign Ministry representative also drew attention to the threats of deepening military cooperation between Russia and the DPRK. According to him, this concerns not only Ukraine but also Europe as a whole, as well as the Indo-Pacific region and the Korean Peninsula.
Earlier, European Commission Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Anita Hipper said that Russia's military cooperation with the DPRK is a manifestation of desperation on the part of Russia, which is isolated and weakened by EU sanctions.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, addressed recent discussions on the war's trajectory, strongly rejecting claims that Russia is winning the conflict. In his statement, Sybiha emphasised the resilience of Ukrainian forces and the strategic setbacks faced by Russia.
