Ukrainian General Staff Refutes Russian Claims of Offensive Success

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted statements by Russian leaders about the success of their spring-summer offensive campaign in Ukraine, claiming that it ended nowhere.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Deutsche Welle, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On August 30, Russian propaganda disseminated a report by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the “results of the spring-summer campaign of 2025,” which contains attempts to pass off wishful thinking as reality and numerous false statements.
Despite Gerasimov's statements, Russian troops did not gain complete control over any major city, and their offensive campaign ended virtually without results.
Since the beginning of the year, Russia has lost about 210,000 soldiers killed and wounded, as well as a significant amount of equipment: 2,174 armored combat vehicles, 1,201 tanks, 7,303 artillery systems, and 157 multiple launch rocket systems.
Moreover, fake statements about “security zones” in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions are just an attempt to cover up the failures of operations that have resulted in a dead end and huge losses for the aggressor.
On the contrary, Ukrainian troops are actively fighting in the Sumy region, liberating Kindrativka and Andriivka, as well as pushing the enemy out of other border settlements.
Estimates show that in 2025, the total losses of Russian troops exceeded 291,000 soldiers killed and wounded, which is confirmed by the mass awarding of 120,000 Russians.
The Russian Federation's claim of “high-precision strikes exclusively on military targets” is an illusion, as numerous strikes have affected the civilian population, including the attack on Kyiv on August 28, which killed 25 people, including four children.
Propaganda claims about the “destruction of the Ukrainian missile industry” are also refuted by regular precision strikes by Ukrainian troops on targets in Russia.
As The Gaze informed earlier, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is planning new deep strikes on Russian territory in retaliation for massive drone attacks that left tens of thousands without power.
