Ukrainian Military and Intelligence Destroy Russian Warship "Caesar Kunikov" in the Black Sea [VIDEO]
On 14 February, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with intelligence units, destroyed the Russian large amphibious assault ship Caesar Kunikov in the Black Sea near Alupka.
This was reported on social media by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military stressed that at the time of the attack, the Russian warship was in Ukraine's territorial waters near Alupka (temporarily occupied by Russia).
Coincidentally, the Soviet invader Caesar Kunikov, after whom the Russian warship was named, also died on 14 February, but earlier, in 1943.
As previously reported by The Gaze, on 1 February, soldiers of the DIU's Group13 special unit destroyed the Ivanivets missile boat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The boat of the Russian occupiers was on a raid on Lake Donuzlav in the temporarily occupied Crimea. As a result of a number of direct hits to the hull, the Russian ship sustained damage incompatible with further movement, and the Ivanivets heeled aft and sank.
The successful attack by Ukrainian drones dealt another powerful blow to the Russian occupation fleet near the occupied Crimea and demonstrated the expansion of Ukraine's power in the Black Sea.
