63% of Ukrainians Consider Europe a Reliable Ally

The vast majority of Ukrainian citizens still consider Europe to be a reliable ally of Ukraine.
The Gaze writes about this, referring to the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
Since September 2022, KIIS has regularly asked questions about the perception of Western policy towards Ukraine.
However, after Donald Trump took office, the situation changed significantly, and a poll in February showed that there is now a differentiated attitude towards Europe and the United States, with ‘the West’ being more closely associated with Europe. Therefore, sociologists are now asking two questions – one about Europe and one about the United States.
The majority of Ukrainians – 63% – continue to believe that Europe remains a reliable ally that wants an acceptable end to the war for Ukraine. 27% do not share this view. At the same time, the situation has remained virtually unchanged since the beginning of the year, with 63-64% of Ukrainians consistently perceiving Europe as a reliable ally.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the leaders of 26 European Union member states approved a joint statement in support of Ukraine, but Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán did not sign the document.
