U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the main issue at the Munich Security Conference, which will be held from 14 to 16 February, will be the Russian war in Ukraine.
‘President Trump has made it clear that the war in Ukraine must end. He is going to start paving a broad path forward, and he wants this war to end,’ Rubio assured.
The US Secretary of State stressed that ending the war would be in everyone's interest, so ‘obviously, we will be discussing this with foreign ministers and other leaders’.
As it became known earlier, Trump's special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, will take part in the Munich Security Conference.
Kellogg himself said the day before that he would no longer present a plan to resolve the Russian war in Ukraine during the Munich Security Conference on 14-16 February, as some media outlets had previously reported.
As The Gaze reported the day before, US Vice President J.D. Vance will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Munich Security Conference in Germany.
