Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the UN General Assembly general debate and emphasized the power of Ukrainian drones and the need to build a new global security system due to the threat of Russia expanding the war.

The Gaze reports on it, referring to Interfax-Ukraine.

During his speech, the President of Ukraine stated that Ukraine has drones capable of flying long distances, which have become a necessity for protecting the lives of Ukrainians.

"We don't have the long-range, powerful missiles that dictators like to show off at parades, but we do have drones that can fly 2-3 thousand kilometers. We simply had no other choice — we had to defend our lives," Zelenskyy said.

The President noted that the war started by Russia has taught tens of thousands of people to use drones professionally as weapons, and stopping them is much more difficult than traditional weapons.

"Previously, only the most powerful states could afford drones. Now even simple systems can fly thousands of kilometers and change the very geography of conflicts," he said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also emphasized the danger of Russian aggression spreading beyond Ukraine.

“Russian drones are flying over Europe, and operations are spreading to many countries. Putin wants to continue and expand the war. No one can feel safe, so it is necessary to build a new global security architecture,” he stated.

In addition, the President announced Ukraine's decision to open up arms exports in order to show its partners modern and reliable systems that have been tested in real war conditions.

“These are powerful systems that have been tested in real war. We want to show our partners that they are reliable and modern,” Zelenskyy added.

As The Gaze reported earlier, Ukraine has announced the resumption of limited arms exports in order to attract additional funds for production and maintain its competitive position in the international market.
