Zelenskyy: Flamingo and Neptune Rockets Prove Effective in Operations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the successful use of new Ukrainian missile systems Neptune and Flamingo in operations against the enemy.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Ukrinform.
“Last week – I won't say how many times – our Neptune and Flamingo systems were used. The results can be analyzed without further explanation,” Zelenskyy said.
He stressed that this was not a matter of mass use, but the available results demonstrate the effectiveness of these weapons.
The President also noted the positive results of strikes deep into Russian territory.
In particular, the Palyanytsia missile began to regularly hit enemy military depots.
“This is positive because we had different moments, but now we are no longer talking about isolated cases,” the Ukrainian President said.
In addition, the Ruta drone missile struck a naval tower at a distance of over 250 km for the first time.
According to him, the greatest success was demonstrated by the Lyuty missile from Fire Point, which was used en masse — up to 300 units in a single operation.
“We understand that Ust-Luga and Primorsk are within reach. What has happened is, in my opinion, a great success,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
The Ukrainian Flamingo missile from the private company Fire Point is positioned as a cheaper (about €1 million per unit) long-range cruise missile, created in the wake of the failure to acquire Tomahawk at the end of 2024. Experts believe that Flamingo could become an effective part of Ukraine's combined strikes and increase pressure on Russian defenses.
Earlier, Ukraine has unveiled its upgraded Neptune cruise missile, a domestically produced long-range weapon with a range of over 600 miles, significantly exceeding the capabilities of the original.
