Zelenskyy: Ukraine Ready to Buy 10 Patriot Systems for $15bn

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced Ukraine’s readiness to purchase ten Patriot air defense systems from the United States for $15 billion, with European partners prepared to assist with financing, The Gaze reports, citing CBS.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine has not received the additional Patriot systems promised at the NATO summit in Washington, stating, "I respect the choice of the United States, but when the United States did not give us such systems or did not sell them, we are ready for any format, the question is not about money."
He added that some European partners are willing to help financially but criticized the U.S. for selling the systems to Israel while not supplying Ukraine: "But the US says there is no possibility today... If we are partners, can't we find a way to protect Ukraine?"
Zelenskyy also outlined two options: buying the systems directly for $15 billion or obtaining licenses to manufacture them. "We are ready to buy at least ten systems to protect cities," he said. He also noted the possibility of leasing Patriot systems from other countries in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
As The Gaze previously reported, President Zelenskyy warns of potential world war if Russia is not stopped and urges Trump to witness war’s impact firsthand before ceasefire talks.
