Zelenskyy Invites Trump to Ukraine to See What Russia Did

President Zelenskyy warns of potential world war if Russia is not stopped and urges Trump to witness war’s impact firsthand before ceasefire talks, The Gaze reports, citing CBS news.
"If we do not stand firm, he (Putin) will advance further," Zelenskyy said. "It is not just idle speculation; the threat is real. Putin's ultimate goal is to revive the Russian empire and reclaim territories currently under NATO protection. Considering all of this, I believe it could escalate into a world war."
According to CBS news sources, there were over 13,000 civilians killed by Russian strikes, and as many as 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers dead on the battlefield.
In a public message directed at Trump, Zelenskyy urged him to visit Ukraine personally to witness the full impact of the war before making any decisions about negotiations.
"We respect your position," he said in English, in an invitation directed to Trump, "but, please, before any kind of decisions, any kind of plans for negotiations, come to see the people, civilians, warriors, hospitals, churches, children destroyed or dead."
"Come, look, and then let's move with a plan on how to finish the war. You will understand with whom you have a deal. You will understand what Putin did."
Trump Administration claims it is actively working toward a peace agreement. On Friday, Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff met with Vladimir Putin in Moscow, in what the White House described as “another step in the negotiating process towards a ceasefire and an ultimate peace deal in Russia and Ukraine.”
As The Gaze previously reported, a Russian missile strike on the morning of 13 April in the centre of Sumy, in eastern Ukraine, killed at least 34 people, including two children.
Trump called the deadly strike a “horrible thing” and a “mistake”.
