15 Injured in Overnight Russian Attack on Kyiv
A nighttime Russian attack in Kyiv left 15 people injured. Attack drones and ballistic missiles also damaged residential buildings in three districts of the Ukrainian capital.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to a Facebook post by the Kyiv police.
In addition to residential buildings, a shopping and entertainment centre, an educational institution, 8 cars and a boiler room were damaged.
In the Solomianskyi district, fragments of a UAV hit an apartment on the fifth floor and started a fire. Seven people aged 35 to 63 were injured.
In Dniprovskyi district, a married couple, a man and a woman aged 40 and 41, were injured when a piece of shrapnel hit their apartment on the fifth floor.
In Obolonskyi district, four floors of a 9-storey residential building were damaged in an enemy attack. Five victims turned for help.
One person was also injured in Holosiivskyi district.
As reported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on social media, on the night of 24 May, Russia launched 14 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 250 attack drones at Ukraine.
Ukrainian troops shot down 6 ballistic missiles and 128 drones, while another 117 drones were found to be "locally lost" and suppressed by electronic warfare.
The main target of the attack was Kyiv, but missiles also struck Dnipropetrovs'k, Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered as a result of the enemy attack.
A total of nine ballistic missiles were fired at Kyiv. Six of them were shot down over the capital.
